Score!

Not only had I forgotten about the marine flea market this morning, I apparently was also not listening when Keith was talking about it last night. So Keith wakes me up nice and early and I spend the first few minutes of my day in a rushed state of confusion. Keith got to rag on me about my listening skills for the rest of the day.

Unlike a boat show, we love a marine flea market. Not only that, this was our last one before we depart. Could not miss it! I can’t believe I forgot. It poured for the first hour but we stuck it out under a leaky tarp of our rigger’s booth until the rain slowed to a drizzle and some of the vendors pealed back the tarps to reveal their piles of dented, rusty treasures.

No major purchases but we still scored:
Folding dock cart (10.00)
Radar reflector (10.00)
Two ball valves (60.00 for both)
Rod and reel (80.00)
4 stainless rail fittings (20.00 for four)
Perkins workshop manual (yep, check that page out- how to take apart the water pump. Who could have used that earlier this week?)

Besides our little pile of goodies, we met up with several friends and the day was just pretty darn good. I even got a few lockers painted. (the only completed project of the week so far)
