Splurge!

We still have quite a few items on our “need” list. Our latest purchase was not on it. We splurged and bought a new Engel fridge/freezer cooler.

To be fair it was at the very top of the “I know we don’t need it, but I really really want it” list. While we were at the Miami Boat Show, we stopped and talked to the Engel salesman and he said that they often have “scratch and dent” models at the warehouse for a pretty significant discount. He mailed us the next day asking which model we were interested in and that was all the arm-twisting we needed. They said the lid is scratched. Really? $200.00 off for that! We’ll take it.

It really wasn’t in the budget, and it really wasn’t in the energy budget but I think we’ll enjoy those burgers.
